We are proud to share that Jason McGrath and the Ashleigh Farms team were formally recognised at the Irish Pig Health Symposium 2026.
Loose Lactation & Piglet Commingling
We received a plaque and certificate for our practice of Loose Lactation & Piglet Commingling, named a Round 1 winner in the Ban of Cages topic of the WelFarmers project. Our lactation sows are housed in adaptive farrowing pens, and piglets mix with neighbouring litters from 20 days of age.
Thank you
Thank you to WelFarmers and Teagasc for their continued support of farmer-led innovation, and for helping to share good practices that make a real difference to pig welfare.
