GasAbate
With GlasPort Bio
A multi-year on-farm R&D collaboration developing and validating a slurry-additive technology that significantly reduces methane and ammonia emissions from pig manure. Ashleigh Farms is the first commercial pork producer in the world to integrate GasAbate at farm scale.
On-Farm Anaerobic Digestion
An SEAI RD&D-funded project to design and commission an on-farm anaerobic digester fed with GasAbate-treated manure, generating renewable electricity and heat on site.

Nutrition & Feed Research
Continuous feed-formulation development in partnership with specialist nutritionists, using data from our own on-site feed mill to refine diets for performance, health and environmental footprint.
Breeding & Genetics
In-house selective breeding programme working with Danish Hybrid F1 genetics, focused on productivity, longevity and resilience.
Renewable Energy Integration
100 kW solar array at the feed mill generating c. 70 MWh/year, with anaerobic digestion coming on stream in 2026.
University Partnerships
Our dedicated R&D team works with university partners on research trials, using data and science to improve animal health, performance and environmental outcomes.
